Meet The Team That Puts Your Movement First

At The Path Rehab & Performance, we help outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, climbers, runners, and performing artists overcome pain and return to the activities they love with strength and confidence.

We believe everyone deserves to move without limitations and pain.

The Path Rehab & Performance was founded with a simple mission: to provide active individuals in Tacoma with physical therapy that actually works.

We know firsthand the frustration of being told to "just rest" or "maybe it's time to stop" when dealing with pain or injury. As movement specialists and active people ourselves, we understand that movement isn't just exercise - it's a vital part of your identity and wellbeing.

That's why we created a different kind of physical therapy practice - one where you're treated as an individual, not a diagnosis code. Where your goals matter, and where we're dedicated to finding real solutions that get you back to doing what you love.

At The Path, we combine clinical expertise with real-world movement knowledge to treat the root cause of your pain, not just the symptoms. Our approach empowers you with the tools, knowledge, and support to heal completely and perform better than before.

Dr. Brooks Kenderdine

Co-Founder • PT, DPT, CSCS

Brooks is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach hailing from Lancaster and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After receiving his Doctorate degree from the top-ranked University of Pittsburgh in 2019, he packed up and made a beeline trek west with his now wife and PATH co-founder Dr. Paulina Kenderdine in search of a community and environment where nature, adventure, health, and vitality were all mutual priorities. Tacoma quickly became the obvious choice for Brooks to proudly call his new home and serve these ideals.

Brooks co-founded THE PATH Rehab and Performance because he has a clear vision for his clients, his local community in Tacoma, and his role as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in serving these active individuals. He believes that a physical therapist is not a guru healer but rather a teammate and coach to walk alongside you through the trenches on your way back to the path of recovery and excellence. He believes that successful rehab requires mutual goals and expectations established by patients and therapists together; an individualized physical training program to improve performance with sport/life tasks; and exposure to, not avoidance of, the physical and mental stressors that are bringing people into rehab in the first place. He promises no gimmicks or quick fixes and utilizes current research to guide all modes of treatment.

After several shoulder surgeries forced him to retire from the sport of wrestling after 11 years of avid participation, Brooks’s athletic path has since consisted of barbell training (recreational weightlifting and powerlifting), CrossFit,  mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and general strength and conditioning training. He enjoys working with active individuals who find enjoyment in embracing personal challenges and strive for self-betterment.

Brooks is also an avid rock climber, constantly testing his mettle on the crags of North Bend, Index, Vantage, Leavenworth, and the renowned Smith Rock. His climbing journey has recently expanded into the realms of multipitch and alpine climbing, where he continues to push his limits and embrace new adventures.

Dr. Paulina Tselikis

Co-Founder • PT, DPT, ATC

Paulina is a co-owner of The PATH Rehab & Performance, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Athletic Trainer, USA Weightlifting Coach, dancer and aerial artist. After receiving her doctoral degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019, she moved out to the wonderful state of Washington with her husband and Co-Founder Dr. Brooks Kenderdine. Together they quickly became enamored by the beauty, nature, adventure and lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. Now settled in the Tacoma area, Paulina hopes to serve the community and its highly motivated individuals on their path to personal excellence.

Paulina was driven to create The PATH Rehab & Performance to provide a resource for the performing arts and dance communities in which artists feel confident that they are receiving the top quality care that they deserve. She has had experience in working with dancers and performing artists from adolescent to professional levels from various companies, including Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Pointe Park University, and Broadway.

Her own path has consisted of a background in dance, aerial arts, competitive swimming, barbell training (powerlifting and weightlifting), snowboarding, hiking, and backpacking. Through her athletic training career she has gained experience in treating a variety of athletes from youth to professional levels. Her passion is serving the performing arts and dance communities by providing education, excellent care, and advocating for the health and wellness of artists. Outside of physical therapy, you will find Paulina exploring the outdoors with Brooks and their dog Jax, reading, dancing at a studio, and almost always with a cup of coffee in her hand.

Paulina is fully equipped to serve you and get you back to your high-level athletic goals. Her treatment is evidence-based and focused on increasing physical resilience so that clients will not only meet their goals, but surpass them.
